  Personal Salvation & A Committed Life

“…that they also may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.” 

2 Timothy 2:10b

“The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.” 

1 Timothy 1:5

Prayer: I pray that they will understand that Jesus offers them forgiveness of their sin and eternal life. That they know that God has no grandchildren only children,

therefore they have need of personal salvation and commitment to Christ. 

Praying that they will become true Christ followers.

  PRAYERS FOR CHILDREN’S FRIENDSHIPS

"But it was you, a man [or woman (my addition here)] my equal, my companion and my familiar friend. We had sweet fellowship together and used to walk to the house of God in company.” Psalm 55:13-14 

Prayer: I pray that they will understand the importance of kindred spirit friends. I ask that You bring friends who are their equal, true companions and true friends. 

May they have sweet fellowship and walk with You together.

Please keep them from those that would seek to pull them away from You. 

Protect them Lord.

  That they will develop the mind of Christ

Have this mind in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Phil. 2:5 Col. 1:3-12

Prayer: I pray that they will study the Word of God and that it would transform their thinking and develop the mind of Christ in them.

I ask that they will be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, and that they will walk worthy of You Lord. That they will bear fruit in every good work, as they increase in the knowledge of You.

  Knowledge of Right & Wrong

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life! John 15:5a 

Even a child makes himself known by his acts, by whether his conduct is pure and upright. Prov. 20:11

Prayer: I pray that they will understand that You, Jesus are the TRUTH and that the only place to find out what is right or wrong is in You WORD. I pray that their conduct will reflect that they believe what you have said and that they will be known to be Yours by their actions.

  Keep in Step with the Spirit

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. Gal. 5:16

Prayer: I pray that they will understand that Your Holy Spirit is the only one who can keep their flesh under control. I pray they learn to truly walk by the Spirit, moment by moment. That they will see that as they walk yielded to You, they will begin to be transformed from 

glory to glory.

  Future-the way that THEY should go 

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. Ps 32:8

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jer. 29:11

Prayer: I pray that they will find their way as they seek your instruction in the WORD. That they will know that You have a plan for their life and that it is for their welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

  Gratitude

…be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Eph 5:18-20

Prayer: I pray that they will understand that a thankful heart is a submissive heart and is the result of being filled with the Spirit. May they learn to make melody in their heart to You. I pray that their whole life will be an unending spiritual song to You,

composed out of a grateful heart.

  Courage  

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 

Prayer: I pray that they will learn to run to you, Jesus and Your Word when they are afraid. That they will remember that you will be with them wherever they go.

“Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might.” Eph. 6:10

  Contentment 

“Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5

But godliness with contentment is great gain… 1 Timothy 6:6 

Praying: Paul said he had learned to be content. I pray that they will learn to be content with what You have given them and that relationship with You will be first in their lives. I pray that they will have godliness with contentment.

  Encouragement 

“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”  Ephesians 4:29

Prayer: I pray that they will understand that their words can benefit those who listen to them and that their encouragement can be helpful for building others up. Help them to see the needs in their friends and to encourage and pray for them.

  Fruitfulness 

“But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” Galatians 5:22-23

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.

Prayer: I pray that they understand that they cannot bear the fruit of the spirit, but You can. I pray they will learn to abide in You.

Servant Heart 

“For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” Galatians 5:13 

Prayer: I pray that they will understand that You have called them to serve others. I pray they will find the joy of serving and helping.

    Resistance to false teachings

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Matt. 7:15

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. Col.2:8

Prayer: Lord teach them the truth found only in Your Word. Teach them to BEWARE of false teachers and worldly philosophies. Fill them with truth- Your Truth!

   Time management

“But all things should be done decently and in order.” 1 Corinthians 14:40

“The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps.” Proverbs 16:9

Prayer: I pray that they see the importance of order in their lives. Then I pray that they learn to lay their plans at Your feet and remember it is You who establishes their steps.

Joy

“And ye became imitators of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit; so that ye became an ensample to all that believe…”

1 Thessalonians 1:6-7a

“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.” Romans 15:13

Prayer: I pray that they will understand that you are their strength, therefore they can trust in You and not be afraid. That out of true trust they can have Your JOY and learn that 

the Joy of the Lord is their strength.

The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. Ps.28:7

    Passion For the Lord

As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God.

My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. Psalm 42:1-2a

Prayer: I pray that they will have a soul thirsts for You oh God. May it be a thirst that only You can quinch. Father give them living water.

“…whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of water springing up unto eternal life.” John 4: 14-15

   Respect

The process of honoring someone by exhibiting care, concern or consideration for their needs or feelings.

“Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.” Phil.2:3

Prayer: I pray that they will do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit.

That they will love who You love and serve others.

Day 18

 Prayerfulness 

And he told them a parable (The Parable of the Persistent Widow ) to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart. Luke 18:1

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Prayer: I pray that they will learn to PRAY without ceasing!!!

  Sense of security & love

Tell among the peoples his deeds! For he who avenges blood is mindful of them;

he does not forget the cry of the afflicted.Ps. 9:11-12 

I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. John 17:15

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? Rom. 8:35

Prayer: I pray that You will teach them of Your Greatness and they will learn to cry out to you in their affliction. Cause them to remember that nothing can separate them from Your love. NOTHING!!!!

  Being a good example and a worthy testimony by abiding in Christ

“We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers, remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.”1 Thess. 1:2-3 

“I thank my God always when I remember you in my prayers, because I hear of your love and of the faith that you have toward the Lord Jesus and for all the saints,” Philem. 4-5

Prayer: I pray that their faith grows and grows , that their actions will be a labor of love that honors You. May they be steadfast in their hope in You, Lord Jesus Christ.

  To keep off of the path of evil

“Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of the evil. Avoid it; do not go on it; turn away from it and pass on.” Proverbs 4:14-15 

“But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. Gal. 5:16

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.” James 4:7-8

Prayer: I pray that You will teach them to run from evil to You. I pray they do not even enter on to the path of evil. That they will turn away from it and pass on. Dear Jesus protect them.

  Godly decision making

Trust in the LORD with all your heart,anddo not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, andturn away from evil. Proverbs 3:5-6

Prayer: I pray that they will learn to trust You with their whole heart. That they will not trust their flesh and their own understanding. That as You show them Your path, the path that You have made straight, they will follow it.

  Godly Mate & A Christ Centered Marriage

“Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? “2 Cor 6:14 

Prayer: I pray for each of their MATES. I pray that they will be equally yoked. Protect them from a wrong choice. Direct their choice.

For those who are already married teach them to choose to love one another more each day. Help them to build their relationship on You and to honor You with all oftheir hearts, as they walk though this life as ONE!

Integrity

O keep my soul, anddeliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee. Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; Psalm 25:20-21

Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness. The state of being whole and undivided

Prayer: I pray that they will align their conduct with what they know to be true. I pray that they displays a principled dedication to values and beliefs. That they will be whole and undivided. That they always seek to reflect godly ethical standards and do the right thing 

regardless of the circumstances.

    Good Work Habits

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, Col. 3:23 

Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needethnot to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2Tim 2:15

Prayer: I pray that all their work will be for You and not for the approval of men. That the work of their hands will not even be for success, but for You and Your kingdom. 

I pray they will be true students of Your Word, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Patience

“Walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; giving thanks to the Father.”Col1:10-11

Prayer: I pray that they will walk in a manner worthy of You & fully please You. That they will bear Your fruit as they increase in knowledge of You through the Word. That they will be strengthened with Your power, as You produce endurance and patience . That all will be done with joy & thanksgiving.

 Perseverance

Is continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Heb 12:1

Prayer: I pray that they will run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to You, Jesus.

  Boldness 

“That words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, 

as I ought to speak.” Eph 6:19

Prayer: I pray that they will open their mouth boldly to proclaim the gospel. That they will understand that they are Your ambassador in this world. That they may declare Your truth boldly.

    Wisdom

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. James 1:5-6

Wisdom is the ability to think and act using knowledge, experience, understanding, common sense and insight.

Prayer: I pray that they will understand that true wisdom comes from You. I pray that they will ask for wisdom in faith, with no doubting.

  True Dependence on God

“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus and in dependence upon His Person, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:17 AMP 

Prayer: I pray that they will understand that their love for You is evidenced by their dependence on You and can be expressed only by their obedience to You. I pray that they come to truly know You and to love You for themselves. 

“Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, 

for apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5b
